Tomato Paste | 3 oz (85 g) |
Kale | 2 Bunches/Bags, Washed2 |
Salt | To Taste |
Black Pepper | To Taste |
Crushed Red Pepper | To Taste |
Instructions
- If possible, soak beans overnight and drain.
- Fill pot with water and beans, bring to a boil, then simmer for 2 hours.
- Add linguiça, chouriço, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. Simmer for another 2 hours, or until beans are salt.3
- Add tomato paste, potatoes, and kale. Cook on low for 1 hour, or until potatoes are done.
- Eat with plenty of cayenne-based hot sauces (our family swears by Frank’s RedHot!)
