Instructions
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Whisk in flour to create a light roux, stirring constantly for about 1 minute.
- Gradually pour in cream while whisking to avoid lumps.
- Continue whisking until the mixture thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add diced Velveeta in small batches, stirring constantly until fully melted and smooth.
- Season with salt to taste after the cheese has melted (Velveeta is already salty, so add gradually).
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
If the sauce becomes too thick, whisk in a little more cream to reach the consistency you want.
