East meets West in this delicious rice dish.

Rasam Mix | 1 Packet |
Rice | 1 Cup |
Onion | 1/2 Cup |
Olive Oil | 2 Teaspoon |
Butter | 2 Tablespoons |
Italian Seasoning | 2 Teaspoon |
Kosher Salt | To Taste |
White Pepper | To Taste |
Black Pepper | To Taste |
Muchi Curry Powder | To Taste |
Instructions
- Add Rasam Mix to boiling water. Let boil for 6 minutes.
- In a pan, melt butter into oil on medium low. Add italian seasoning to melted butter.
- Add onions and saute on medium high, cook until translucent (around 3 minutes).
- Add rice and cook for 2 minutes. Add salt/pepper to taste.
- Add 1/3 of the rasam to rice. Cook down until water evaporates. Repeat 3 times. Add salt, pepper, italian seasoning, and curry powder to taste.
